REMOVAL

There are two methods for lightening/removing permanent makeup (PMU): chemical removal using a remover, and laser removal.

The laser treatment is conducted with an initial assessment of the client’s skin and an individual adjustment of settings to ensure safe and effective results.

The first few laser pulses are used to familiarize ourselves with the client’s skin and assess how both the skin and the pigment react. If necessary, we adjust the settings based on the skin’s and pigment’s response before continuing with the procedure.

The process itself is very quick—about 30-60 seconds per eyebrow.
For the lips, it depends on the area:
for just the outline, it takes up to 1 minute per lip;
for the full lip area, it takes 2-3 minutes per lip, with breaks during the procedure.
For the eyes, it typically takes 1-3 minutes per eye, with pauses as needed.

To maintain comfort and minimize post-treatment reactions, we apply cold therapy.

Sensations during the procedure resemble a warm tingling from the flashes, which disappear immediately after the treatment stops. Due to the speed of the process, most clients tolerate the procedure very well.

It is normal to see mild swelling in the treated PMU area after laser removal. The skin may react in response to the pigment particles being broken down by the laser. However, this effect is usually mild and should subside within the first couple of days. For clients who are less prone to swelling, it may resolve within a few hours.

The principle behind laser PMU removal is that the laser beam heats up the pigment particles in the skin, causing them to break down into smaller fragments that can then be naturally eliminated by the body. However, this process takes some time, so we do not recommend evaluating the results immediately after the procedure or within the first couple of days, as your body needs time to clear the broken pigment particles from the skin. We recommend waiting at least 4 weeks before assessing the outcome. Additionally, we assess the results after each session through photo comparisons.

Sometimes, the result may appear too faint or even non-existent initially.
This is quite common, as clients often get used to the gradual lightening process over the course of a month, especially when seeing themselves daily in the mirror. This is completely normal.

Since we are committed to fast, high-quality, and safe removal of PMU, in some cases, we use a combination of both methods: laser and remover. However, it’s important to understand that each session requires a new evaluation of the PMU’s condition. Every time, we compare the results with previous sessions and select the most appropriate removal method for each case.

The number of sessions required for effective laser removal of permanent makeup (PMU) can vary depending on several factors, including the type of pigment used, the depth of the pigment in the skin, the area being treated, and how the skin responds to the laser.

On average, 1 to 6 sessions are typically needed for optimal results. condition. Every time, we compare the results with previous sessions and select the most appropriate removal method for each case.

Post-care after laser removal of permanent makeup (PMU) is crucial to ensure proper healing, minimize side effects, and achieve the best results. Here’s a comprehensive guide to post-care:

1. Mild Cleansing: Gently cleanse the treated area with a mild, non-irritating cleanser and lukewarm water. Pat dry with a clean towel (do not rub).

2.Apply Cold Compress: To reduce swelling and discomfort, apply a cold compress or ice pack wrapped in a cloth for 10-15 minutes at a time. Avoid direct contact with the skin.

3.No Harsh Products: Avoid using any harsh skincare products such as exfoliants, retinols, or acids on the treated area for at least 2 weeks.

4.Avoid Sun Exposure:

– Sun Protection: Do not expose the treated area to direct sunlight, as this can cause pigmentation changes or irritation. Apply a broad-spectrum SPF of at least 30 on the area when it’s healed.

-No Tanning: Avoid tanning beds or direct sun exposure for a minimum of 2-4 weeks after the procedure.Avoid Sweating and Steam:

5.Avoid Sweating and Steam:

-No Intense Exercise: Refrain from heavy sweating, such as from intense workouts, hot tubs, saunas, or swimming pools, for at least 1 week.

6.Avoid Laser or Other Procedures:

-No Additional Laser Treatments: Don’t undergo any other laser procedures or dermal treatments in the treated area until fully healed.

-Wait for Healing: Wait at least 4 weeks before considering a follow-up session for further removal if needed.
