Getting perfectly shaped and tinted eyebrows is a reality, but please take into account several factors – the artist’s skill, the quality of the materials and the right care after the procedure.
Eyebrow tattoo: what is the healing process?
Day 1. Very rarely there might be some light swelling and redness present, that usually subsides within a couple hours. The pigment is bright and saturated, the contour is clear, neat.
On oily sensitive skin you might notice some discharge coming out, which should be gently patted with the provided moist wipes.
Day 2-3. Eyebrows appear darker and the shape is more pronounced. No redness or swelling present.
Day 4-5. Most of our clients start noticing minor dryness, peeling, but those with oily sensitive skin might see heavier scabbing. It’s completely normal. Please don’t pick on the scabs or try to remove them – it would increase the risk of scarring and not healing properly.
After eyebrow tattooing in powder, shading, ombre, hair stroke technique the peeling phase lasts anywhere from 2 to 7 days.
There is no need to worry if the pigment appears too light or uneven after the crusts come off, the color will be stabilizing for another couple of weeks. And if there are still some areas of concern, we can address it at the touchup session.
Why one can’t remove the scabs?
Main reasons:
– there is a possibility of infection of the damaged area of the skin;
– the healing process will increase;
– risk of scarring
– the body will begin to actively restore the damaged area, – while removing the pigment from the the skin upper layer along with the lymph
– the color will heal unevenly
If the client has removed the crust after tattooing by accident, for example, with jewelry or clothes, we recommend treating the area with an antiseptic and continuing to care for the skin according to the aftercare.
